Gotta say, the wolves are not digging the typhoons. I have to wonder if this is how they acted on their little islands before they got brought here, hunkering down and hiding in their dens for the worst of it. They barely come out for meal time unless the wind and rain have let up, not that I can blame them. I thought for sure Arashi was going to fly away the other morning on the way to preschool when the wind caught her little umbrella that she absolutely would not leave the apartment without. Thankfully, she was holding my hand, so I was able to keep her grounded, though she swears her feet weren't touching the sidewalk for a few seconds from that gust.

With a name like Arashi, you'd think she would be digging the storm. :>

Oh, she loves it! The sheer number of puddles she can splash in has her bouncing around like a rabbit. The only issue is when those strong gusts grab her umbrella, they nearly carry her away because she's so light. She eats like a kid three times her age, but she runs around so much she just burns it all off before it can weigh her down any.

Oh, I don't doubt she'd love to be. But no, she's my wacky, adorable, smart as hell little girl. ^_^

Right. Smart enough to choose an animal at the top of a food chain.

But not quite smart enough yet to realize that she's the same size as prey, and that's why she's not allowed into the enclosures. But she's usually content to talk to the wolves from outside the fence.

I made sure to hold onto her tight when the children went across to the gym for their playtime.

I appreciate that a lot. I really hope she gets a growth spurt soon, but I think she's doomed to being short. I'm not that tall, and her mom is a little shorter than I am, so there might just not be any hope for Arashi.

She seems to be doing alright. Besides, this way I can carry her on my shoulders.

Uhm, when we are...uhm...like at the festival, I mean.

I bet she loves that. She seemed to really enjoy it at Obon. ^_^
