So, with help from some powerful people (Atobe), Munehiro and I have adopted a little boy. His name is Dmitri, and we are keeping it that way, he's blond and Russian and totally precious. After the mafia tried to get him from the daycare, we found out the little guy didn't have anyone else to go to. His mother gave up her rights to him for his own safety, and now he's ours. Arashi is thrilled to bits to be a big sister, and Rio has such a problem at night trying to decide which kiddo to go cuddle up to! Poor pup, such a rough choice to make. Dmitri is still a little shy, and his Japanese is...a bit behind where it should be, but he's soaking up the language like a sponge.

Happy Valentine's day, handsome. Take it easy and just relax for the day, ok? I'll take care of everything for tonight, unless you want to help Arashi pick out the kids movies we'll be watching with her. Love you, Munehiro~.

Well....all I can say is thank god for medical leave covering spouses at Hyoutei. I'm on paid leave until Hiro is well enough to be left on his own and able to get around enough to go to physical therapy, since he decided to check himself out of the hospital AMA and not call me to come and get him. Thank you everyone who kept me sane while he was in there, especially the first couple of days. I'd be in worse shape than my husband without you all. So if anyone needs to get in touch with either of us, we'll both be at home. Someone has to enforce bed-rest, after all.

Happy birthday to my awesome husband, Munehiro. You're the best husband I could have ever hoped for, and an amazing father. I'm sorry I can't get out of the teacher's meeting at Hyotei, but there will be cake for you and your students to go with lunch, I dropped it off with your assistant yesterday. Two more days until I'll be married. Two more days of waiting and anticipation and realizing we never did decide if either of us will change our last names and how that's going to affect Arashi when Hiro legally adopts her. These are the things that I think about in between last minute details and preparations for the actual ceremony. w

I've got the final fitting for my tux next week, and, god, how is July already half over? This month is just flying by faster than I was expecting it to! But with tournaments going and wedding planning and fittings, it's just go go go. Still, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Well, we finally did it. We have a date picked out for the wedding. The wedding itself will be on August 3rd, but if you can get the time off, Atobe will fly everyone out on July 27th. It's the first day of summer break, too, for anyone in school. So you're all welcome to take the time to play tourist. Keep an eye on your mailbox, since the invitations are on the way. I'm sure any arrangements about pets can be made with Atobe as well if you're not planning on bringing them along. We are though, with Rio. Kind of have to, he's the ring bearer. I just hope Arashi doesn't get a spontaneous growth spurt to where she doesn't fit in her flower girl dress anymore.

Maa, I feel like I should have done this sooner, but it's been a bit hectic lately. I've had exams going at school for my kids, and then packing up the apartment. That's right, Arashi and I are moving. And we're moving in with Munehiro. And Rio, of course, cute little guy that he is. We took him to the park last week, and I got the cutest picture of him sleeping on the way back.

In other news, I'm engaged now. I couldn't believe it last night when Munehiro proposed, but I couldn't be happier. I just...can't even put into words how excited I am. I already have coworkers and students looking at me funny because I've been smiling so much, and I don't care. Best White day ever, seriously.

Damn, damn, damn. I know my apartment has really strict rules about pets, which really sucks. Those Corgi puppies that Kirihara posted a picture of are just too cute, and I really want to get one of them.

Seems this year I have twice the reason to like today. I've liked it since middle school, because hell, it's the birthday for one of my closest friends. Happy Birthday and welcome home, Choutarou. But this year, I can say something that I couldn't last year. I actually have a Valentine of my own. So, even though we won't get to have our more personal celebration until this weekend, happy Valentine's Day, Munehiro.
