Time flies

I can't believe it's already the end of January. Where did this month go? With everything going on, I guess time just flew right past me. And now I'm coming upon the prospect of having to corral preteens on one of the worst holidays ever for order and productivity in a classroom. That's right, this will be my first Valentines Day as a teacher. *shudder* Thankfully, my own plans have been scheduled for that weekend, which shouldn't be an issue in any way since Arashi will be my my parents. Though I've been informed that on Valentines Day itself, we're watching Disney princess movies because the princesses always fall in love and get to marry their princes. In four year old logic, it's the perfect way to celebrate a holiday that's all about love. And speaking of the four year old, her birthday is in less than two months. Which means that she'll be starting kindergarten this spring. Am I ready for this? Ready for her to be in school and not just day care? Does she really have to grow up? How much longer until she comes home talking about having a boyfriend? *sigh* I need to stop overthinking this, I know. But, how can I not think about it, you know?

I like her idea. Much more straightforward than some of the ideas grown women (and men) have about the day.

They grow up so quick, don't they? Enjoy the time you have with her now. Because you can't get the time back once its gone.

And give her a hug from me. I'll have to bring her something for Valentines.

[ooc: Yuushi will bring over a Disney princess outfit complete with tiara for Arashi to wear. That way she can be a princess too!]

It is a nice plan. And I'm savoring this sort of thing because I know she's going to grow up and want to spend it with some boy someday.

God, they really do. It makes me wish I could spend more time with her every day, but I love my job too.

I'll be happy to, and you'll make her week with that.

It's always difficult to choose between career and family, but you do a good job of balancing the two.

I always like making her week!

Thanks. I usually do too, but sometimes it's nice to hear from someone else.

You do a great job of it.
